It’s important to note that not all individuals and psychiatric concerns will require medication. However, there are many situations in which prescription medications, in addition to interdisciplinary psychiatric care, are an effective tool in symptom relief, maladaptive behavior reduction, and improved quality of life.

Disclaimer: prescriptions (& refills) will only be written for patients who maintain their regularly scheduled appointments and are in good standing with Brightstar Mental Health LLC and the prescriber. Prescriptions are written at each appointment. If you need a refill in between appointments, a prescription may be written to cover you until your next scheduled appointment at the prescriber's discretion. Please note it may take up to 72 hours (excluding weekends/holidays/vacations) for the prescription to be submitted after your request is received.
Controlled Substance Prescription Laws:
Controlled Substance Prescription Laws: Controlled substances can only be written for 30 days at a time. This includes, but is not limited to, Adderall, Vyvanse, Focalin, Xanax, Ativan, & Ambien. The law also requires that a new prescription be written each time these medications are filled, and no exceptions can be made by your prescriber OR pharmacist for early refills or for refills 30 days. Please make sure to keep your medications locked up and in a safe place to prevent loss and theft.
